My slice of Tokyo

Photos:
  • Top: this is my 'hood: Haneda 2-chome. My house is somewhere in the vicinity of that arrow...
  • Bottom: ahhh, the elusive Fuji-san. We have a love-hate relationship; I would love to see it and it hates to be seen by me. I've tried so many times to see it and my two greatest successes are really only glimpses of it's silhouette. Here is one of those examples. The photo was taken on one of the bridges that crosses the Tama River, which is the border between Kanagawa and Tokyo prefectures. It's about a 7 minute walk from my house. Amazing how that mountain can be 100km away and still look so big. (I recommend clicking on the photo to see the larger version. I've put a red circle around the mountain.)

It's good to hear that everything is going well. I had only heard that you were not enjoying your original job, but these two new ones seem to be really right up your alley! Next time you are teaching english at Nikon, make sure to grab me a D3 camera! I'll be your best friend forever! ;)
