「えんどう豆を持ってる」 or "Sunday Brunch"

Today's plan: brunch.  The first time I've had Sunday brunch in a while, in fact.

I arranged to meet my Pleasant Brunch Friend after church. But first, I made a stop to pick up a little housewarming-slash-host gift.  On the way, I spotted some new "decoration" on the pedestrian overpass:

Ah, we decorate the swankiest of neighborhoods with the classiest of stickers...  (And thanks to @LikesBlueBoots, I've had this song stuck in my head for most of the afternoon.)

My friend and I met up in Naka-Meguro so that I could see his new apartment and then head over to brunch at nearby Moke's Bread and Breakfast. Here are a few pictures to make you all jealous:

My eggs Benedict. The olives on top were a little creepy, but tasty nonetheless.

My Pleasant Brunch Friend, with his "Mexican-style"
omelette (here we go again...), and his awesome t-shirt.

And as if that wasn't enough, we ordered pancakes for dessert. But not just any pancakes.  We got caramel-covered pancakes (the best caramel sauce I've ever tasted!) topped with chopped pieces of sweet potato, kabocha pumpkin, nuts, and toffee. And there was whipped cream. And drizzled chocolate. And a perfect little sprig of mint.

I think I'll go ahead and finish this post here: since you're all drooling over photos of my meal, I'm sure you'll want to head to the kitchen and get that pancake batter started...
